We have to find: the sum of the probability of an event and non event is 1.

Solurion:

Let E and E' be the event of getting an event and non event.

Probability of an event = P(E) and probability of a non event = P(E')

We know that,

∴ Probability of an event + Probability of a non event = 1

⇒ P(E) +  P(E') = 1

∴ the sum of the probability of an event and non event is 1.

Thus, true, the sum of the probability of an event and non event is 1.
