Hi ,

Let ( x - 1 ) , x , ( x + 1 ) are three consecutive

numbers ,

sum of the squares = 532

( x - 1 )² + x² + ( x + 1 )² = 532

x² - 2x + 1 + x² + x² + 2x + 1 = 532

3x² + 2 = 532

3x² = 532 - 2

3x² = 530

x² = 530/3

I hope this helps you.
