=10y

value of ones digit=1×x

=x

original number=10y+x....(2)

For the reversed number

Number will be =10x+y...(3)

the required equation is

10x+y=10y+x+18

10x-x+y-10y=18

9x-9y=18

9(x-y)=18

x-y=2...(4) Adding (1) and (2) eqns

x+y+x-y=14
