Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

let first term = a

common differnce = d

so t3 =a+2d

    t7 =a +6d

given sum =6

a+2d +a+6d =6

        2a +8d =6

divide by 2

 a+4d = 3

given product = 8

(a+2d)(a+6d) =8   this is written as

(a+4d -2d)(a+4d+2d) =8

(3-2d)(3+2d) =8     here we put a+2d =3

3^2 -(2d)^2 =8

9-8=(2d)^2

1=(2d)^2

2d=1

d=1/2
