Find - Multiples of 7

Solution - Let the three consecutive multiples of 7 be: 7x, (7x + 7) and (7x + 14).

Forming equation as per the question -

7x + 7x + 7 + 7x + 14 = 777

Performing addition

21x + 21 = 777

Shifting the number 21 to Right Hand Side

21x = 777 - 21

Performing substraction

21x = 756

Performing division

x =  \frac{756}{21}

x = 36

So, the first multiple of 7 = 7*36

Performing multiplication

First multiple = 252

Second multiple of 7 = 7*36 + 7

Performing multiplication and addition

Second multiple of 7 = 252 + 7

Second multiple of 7 = 259

Third multiple of 7 = 7*36 + 14

Performing multiplication and addition

Third multiple of 7 = 252 + 14

Third multiple of 7 = 266

Hence, the three consecutive multiples of 7 are 252, 259 and 266.
