Answer:

Let first of the three multiples be 14x

Then next multiple is 14(x + 1)

And last one is 14(x + 2)

According to question

14x + 14(x + 1) + 14(x+2) = 420

= 14x + 14x + 14 + 14x +28 = 420

= 42x = 420 - 42 = 378

Therefore x = 378/44 =  9

Therfore multiples are 14 x 9  , 14 x 10, 14 x 11

i.e 126 140 And 154

Let the three consecutive multiples

of 14 are, 142, 14x+14 and 14x+28 then, according to given question: 14x +14x+14+ 142+28= 420

⇒ 42* +42 = 420

42x = 420-42

42x = 378

378 42

x = 9

:. The smallest multiple of 14 is 147.

=14x9

= 126
