Given: Sum of three consecutive multiples of 2 is 18.

To find: Here we have to find the numbers.

Solution:

Let the numbers be x, x + 2 and x + 4

Now,

x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 18

3x + 6 = 18

3x = 18 - 6 = 12

x = 12/3

x = 4

Therefore the numbers are:

x = 4

x + 2 (4 + 2) = 6

x + 4 (4 + 4) = 8

4, 6, 8 are the other numbers.

Solution :-

{ \sf{ \color{black}{Let \: the \: number \: be \: }}} \: (x ), (x + 2) , (x + 4)

\implies \: (x) \:  + (x + 2 )+ (x + 4)  =  \: 18\\   \implies \: 3x \:  = 18 - 6 \\ \implies \: x \:  =  \frac{12}{3} \\\therefore  \: x = 4 \\  { \sf{ \color{black}{Now \: putting \: the \: value  \:  }}} \\ x = 4 \\∴ x  + 2 = 4  + 2 = 6 \\ ∴ x + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8 \\ { \sf{ \color{red}{Hence \: the \: numbers \: are \:   }}} \\ { \sf{ \color{purple}{4 \:, 6 \: and \: 8 }}}
