HEYA!!!

Given,

Sum of multiples of 8 = 888

let the numbers be x, x + 8 , x + 16

ATP,

x + x + 8 + x+16 = 888

3x+24 = 888

3x = 888 - 24

3x = 864

x = 864/3

x = 288

Therefore,the numbers are 288, 288+8= 296 , 288 + 16 = 304

Here is your answer....

Solution :

Let the first multiple of 8 be 8x. Then, the next two multiples of 8 will be 8(x + 1) and 8(x+2).

It is given that the sum of these three consecutive multiples is 888.

: 8x + 8(x + 1) + 8(x + 2) = 888

=> 8x + 8x + 8 + 8x + 16 = 888

=> 24x + 24 = 888

=> 24x = 888 - 24

=> 24x = 864

=> x = 864/24 = 36

: The three consecutive multiples are 8 × 36, 8 × 37, 8 × 38 i.e. 288,296,304

Verification : Sum of the three multiples obtained

= 288 + 296 + 304

= 888

Hence, the solution is verified.
