Let the sum of three consecutive multiples of 8 be 8x,8(x+1),8(x+2).

Given that Their sum = 888

                  8x + 8(x+1) + 8(x+2) = 888

                  8x + 8x + 8 + 8x + 16 = 888

                    24x + 24 = 888

                    24x = 864

                    x = 36.

Substitute x = 36 in 1st equation.

8x = 8 * 36 = 288

8(x+1) = 8(36 + 1) = 296

8(x + 2) = 8(36 + 2) = 304.

Hope this helps!

Let the first multiple be 8x.
As the multiples are consecutive then the second and third multiples are 8(x+1) and 8(x+2)
A/c to given condition,
Sum all all three multiples is 888
then 8x+8(x+1)+8(x+2)=888
8x+8x+8+8x+16=888
24x+24=888
24x=888-24
24x=864
x=864/24
x=36
Hence the three multiples are:
8x=8×36=288
8(x+1)=8×37=296
8(x+2)=8×38=304

As the condition is satisfied: 288+296+304=888
The three numbers are 288,296 and 304
