let the no. be x+1, x+2, x+3.
so,
x+1+x+2+x+3=99
3x+6=99
3x=99-6
3x=93
x=93/3
x=31
x+1=31+1=32
x+2=31+2=33
x+3=31+3=34

The numbers are 32 , 33 , 34

Given :

The sum of three consecutive natural number is 99

To find :

Find the numbers

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Form the equation

Let three consecutive natural numbers are x , x + 1 , x + 2

By the given condition

\displaystyle \sf{ x + (x + 1) + (x +2 )  = 99}

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the numbers

\displaystyle \sf{ x + (x + 1) + (x +2 )  = 99}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies 3x + 3 = 99}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies 3x = 99 - 3}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies 3x = 96}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x =  \frac{96}{3} }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x = 32}

First number = x = 32

Second number = x + 1 = 32 + 1 = 33

Third number = x + 2 = 32 + 2 = 34

Hence three numbers are 32 , 33 , 34
