Let the number be (x - 1) (x) (x+1)
(x-1)+(x)+(x+1) = 7
3x = 7
x = 7/3

(7/3-1)(7/3)(7/3+1)
(7/3)(7/3-1)(7/3+1)
7/3(7*7/3*3 - 1*1)
7/3(49/9 - 1)
7/3(40/9)
280/27

There are minor mistakes in your question. The following is the correct question :

The sum of three consecutive multiples of 7 is 777. Find the numbers.

Solution :

Let the three consecutive multiples of 7 be 7x, 7x + 7 and 7x + 14

Given, their sum is 777

According to the question,

7x + 7x + 7 + 7x + 14 = 777

=> 21x + 21 = 777

=> 21x = 777 - 21

=> 21x = 756

=> x = 36

∴ 1st number => 7x

=> 7 × 36

=> \green{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\textsf{252}}}}}}

∴ 2nd number => 7x + 7

=> 7 × 36 + 7

=> 252 + 7

=> \green{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\textsf{259}}}}}}

∴ 3rd.number => 7x + 14

=> 7 × 36 + 14

=> 252 + 14

=> \green{\boxed{\green{\boxed{\red{\textsf{266}}}}}}
