Sum of numbers = 3
A- D + A + A + D = 3
3A = 3
A = 3/3 = 1
And,
Product of three numbers = -35
(A-D) (A) (A+D) = -35
A( A² - D² ) = -35
1 { 1 - (D)² } = -35
-D² = -35 - 1
D² = 36
D = ✓36 = +6 or -6
Thus,
A = 1 and D = 6
First number = (A-D) = ( 1 - 6) = -5
Second number = A = 1
Third number = A + D = 1 + 6 = 7
Hence,
The required numbers are ( -5 , 1 , 7 ) or ( 7 , 1 , -5)
