GIVEN :

The sum of three numbers in the ratio 3:6:7 is 432.

TO FIND :

Find the product of the greatest and the smallest numbers.

SOLUTION :

Let 3:6:7 could be 3x, 6x, 7x.

3x + 6x + 7x = 432

16x = 432

x = 27

HENCE,

1. 3x = 3 * 27 = 81

2. 6x = 6 * 27 = 162

3. 7x = 7 * 27 = 189

THEREFORE,

Product of greatest and smallest no. is.

81 * 189 = 15,309
