Answer:

the numbers are -4, -1 , 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let, the first number of A.P. is a and difference is d

So, the numbers are a , a+d, a+2d

Now, 3(a+d) = -3

►a+d = -1  ..........(i)

then a(a+d)(a+2d) = 8

►a(-1)(d-1)=8

► a(1-d) = 8

►a = 8/(1-d) ..............(ii)

from i and ii ...

8/(1-d) +d = -1

► (d+1)(d-1) = 8

► d² - 1 = 8

►d²=9

►d = 3, -3

if d= 3

a = -1-3 =-4

►a , a+d, a+2d = -4, -1 , 2

if d= -3

a = -1+3 =2

►a , a+d, a+2d = 2, -1 , -4

the results are same..
