Answer:

\text\red{Question}

The sum of three times a number and 11 is 32. Find the number.

\text\red{Given}

One number = 11

The sum of both numbers = 32

\text\red{To\:find}

We have to find the another number

Let the number be x

The number is 3 times a number means 3x

\text\red{Solution}

= 3x + 11 = 32

= 3x = 32 - 11

= 3x = 21

 = x =  \frac{21}{3}

= x = 7

•°• 3x = 3 × 7 = 21

•°• The number is 21

\text\red{Verification}

= 3x + 11 = 32

= 21 + 11 = 32

= 32 = 32

Hence Proved!

LHS = RHS

The number is 21

{ \textbf{ \textsf{ \underline{ \underline{✠Question}}}}} :

  • The sum of three times a number and 11 is 32. Find the number.

{ \textbf{ \textsf{ \underline{ \underline{✠Answer}}}}} :

  • The required answer is 7

{ \textbf{ \textsf{ \underline{ \underline{✠Solution}}}}} :

  • Let we take a variable such as y.
  • Here the question asked to find the unknown number y .
  • By forming equation :- 3y + 11 = 32
  • As using transposing method, we may find the required number.

{ \textbf{ \textsf{ \underline{ \underline{✠Caculation}}}}} :

\sf \to \: 3y + 11 = 32  \\  \to \sf \: 3y = 32 - 11 \\  \to \sf3y = 21 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \to   \sf \: y =  \frac{21}{3}  = 7 \:  \:

{ \underline{ \fbox{y = 7}}}

{ \textbf{ \textsf{ \underline{ \underline{✠Proof}}}}} :

 \to \sf \:  3 \times 7 + 11 \:  \:   \\  \to 21 + 11  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:    \:  \\  \to  \sf \: 32 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

  • LHS = RHS
  • Thus verified✔️
