the sum of two consecutive even numbers is 74. find the numbers.

Let the 1st even no . is x
and 2nd is x + 2

since, According to question .

x + x + 2 = 74

2x = 72

x = 36

since, 1st even no. is 36

and 2nd even number is 36+ 2 = 38
