Let the two consecutive integers be (x) and (x+1)

Given that,

The sum of the two consecutive integers =161

= (X )+ (X+1) = 161

= X+X+1 = 161

= 2X+1 = 161

= 2X = 161-1

= 2X = 160

= X = 160/2

= X = 80

=> (x) = 80

=> (x+1)= (80+1) = 81

Therefore the two consecutive integers are 80 and 81.....

Hope!!! it helps you...

Answer:

two consecutive integers are : 80 and 81.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the two consecutive integers be :

  • n
  • n+1

Given that, their sum is 161,

=> n + n + 1 = 161

=> 2n + 1 = 161

=> 2n = 161 - 1

=> 2n = 160

=> n = 160/2

=> n = 80

Therefore, two consecutive integers are : 80 and 81.
