Let 2 consecutive multiples be ,x and (x+2)
x + (x+2) = 46
2x + 2 = 46
2x = 46 - 2
2x = 44
X= 44/2
X = 22

So the multiples are
X = 22
X+2 = 22+2 = 24

let \: two \: consecutive \: number \: be \: \\ = x \: and \: x + 2 \\ according \: to \: question \\ x + x + 2 = 46 \\ = 2x + 2 = 46 \\ = 2x = 46 - 2 \\ = 2x = 44 \\ x = \frac{44}{2} \\ x = 22 \\ so \: the \: multiples \: are \\ x = 22 \\ and \: x + 2 =  22+2=24
