Let 1 number be `x` . Since the numbers are consecutive, the other number would be `x + 1.`
so, x + (x + 1) = 313
x + x + 1 = 313
2x + 1 = 313
2x = 313 - 1
2x = 312
x = 312/2
x = 156
so,
x = 156
nd x + 1 = 157
so, the two numbers are 156 and 157...
now, you can also add them ..
so, x + (x + 1) = 313
x + x + 1 = 313
2x + 1 = 313
2x = 313 - 1
2x = 312
x = 312/2
x = 156
so,
x = 156
nd x + 1 = 157
so, the two numbers are 156 and 157...
now, you can also add them ..
