The sum of two consecutive number is -27.Find the numbers.

Answer:

Let one number be x.

The next consecutive number would be x + 1

x + x + 1 = -27

2x + 1 = -27

2x = -27 + -1

= -28

x = $\huge \frac {-28}{\:\:2}$

= - 14
