Let two consecutive odd numbers are x and X + 2.





Therefore,


x + x + 2 = 48


2x = 48 - 2


2x = 46


x = 23.



First number = X = 23


And,


Second number = x + 2 = 25.

Hence,


The greatest number is 25.
