What are consecutive odd numbers?

➾ Consecutive odd numbers are those odd numbers which follow one another constantly. Like for example, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11....... follow each other constantly.

Coming to your question,

Let the 1st consecutive odd number be x

Let the 2nd consecutive odd number be x + 2

Given, sum of two consecutive odd numbers is. 52

According to the question,

x + x + 2 = 52

➾ 2x + 2 = 52

➾ 2x = 52 - 2

➾ 2x = 50

➾ x = 25

1st odd number ➾ x

\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{25}}}}}

2nd number ➾ x + 2

➾ 25 + 2

\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{27}}}}}

Answer:

The odd numbers are 25 and 27.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Odd number: The numbers which can not be divided by 2 are called odd number.

        Example - 1,3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, ......etc.

  • Lets assume one of the required odd number is 'x'.

        As the difference between two odd numbers is 2. So another odd number will be (x + 2).

  • The sum of the two add numbers is 52.

           So, x + (x + 2) = 52

                 x + x + 2 = 52

                 2x + 2 = 52

                 2x = 52 -2 = 50

                 x = 50/2 = 25

     ∴One odd number is 25 and another odd number will be = 25 + 2 = 27.

  • If we add the odd numbers, 25 + 27 = 52
