Since, the sum of two consecutive odd numbers is 56.

The general term of the odd numbers is (2n-1)

Let the numbers be x and x + 2

➪ x + x + 2= 56

➪ 2x + 2 = 56

Divide the whole equation by 2

➪ x + 1 = 28

➪ x + 2 = 27 + 2 = 29

Therefore, the numbers are 27 and 29.
