Let the two consecutive positive numbers be (x) and (x+1)

According to the question

x + x + 1 = 58

2x + 1 = 58

2x = 58 - 1

2x = 57

x = 57 ÷ 2

x = 57/2

x = 28.5

The second consecutive number is (x+1)

x = 28.5 + 1

x = 29.5

Hence , the two integers are 28.5 and 29.5
