the sum of two digits of number is 9 and if tens place digit is decreased by 3 the number thus form will be equal to 5 by 3 times of original number what is the number?​

x+y=9    eq1

If  x=x-3

no=5/3 *  10x+y

10x+y=5/3*(10(x-3)+y)

cross multiply

30x+3y=5(10x-30+y)

30x+3y=50x-150+5y

50x-30x+5y-3y=150

20x+2y=150

10x+y=75    eq2

subtracting 1 from 2

  10x+y=75

     x+y=9

  -    -    -

 9x=66

   x=22/3

22/3+y=9

y=9-22/3

=5/3

original no= 10*22/3+5/3 = 220/3+5/3 = 225/3 = 75
