Hello friend
Let the numbers be x and y
Their sum
x + y = 15
x = 15 - y ----------- ( i )
Sum of their squares
x^2 + y^2 = 113
Putting i
( 15 - y )^2 + y^2 = 113
225 + y^2 - 30y + y^2 = 113
2y^2 - 30y + 112 = 0
y^2 - 15y + 56 = 0
y^2 -8y - 7y + 56 = 0
y ( y - 8 ) - 7 ( y - 8 ) = 0
( y - 8 ) ( y - 7 ) = 0
y = 8
x = 7
Hope it helps you
Have a nice day
