Answer:

Let the two numbers be x and y.

given that, five times the first number = 6 times the second number.

So, 5x = 6y

X = 6y/5

And also given that, Sum = 22

x + y = 22

Substitute the value of X here.

6y/5 + y = 22

(6y +5y)/5 = 22

11y = 22×5

11y = 110

y = 110/11

y = 10

We know that X + y = 22

Substitute the value of y here.

X + 10 = 22

X = 22 - 10

X = 12.

If we compare both the numbers 12 is greater than 10.

Therefore, largest number from both of them is 12.

ANSWER

LET ONE NUMBER BE X AND OTHER NUMBER BE Y .

ACCORDING TO THE CONDITIONS GIVEN ;

X + Y = 22

X = 22 - Y -----(1)

5X = 6Y -----(2)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (1) IN EQ (2)

5 ( 22 - Y ) = 6Y

110 - 5Y = 6Y

11Y = 110

Y = 10 ----(3)

SUBSTITUTING EQ (3) IN EQ (1)

X = 22 - 10

X = 12

THERFORE THE BIGGER NUMBER IS 12 .

2.) 12
