Let x,y be two numbers..

x + y = 90.....(1)

x - y = 6.....(2)


Add (1) and (2)

x + y + x - y = 90 + 6

2x = 96

x = 96/2

x = 48 .....(3)

Subsitute (3) in (1)

x + y = 90

48 + y = 90

Y = 90 - 48

Y = 42...

the ratio of x and y numbers are..

= 48:42

=24:21
