Let the first number be x

and the second number be y

According to the question,

Sum of the two numbers = 13

=> x + y = 13 ---------------------(i)

Difference of the two numbers = 7

=> x - y = 7 ----------------------(i)

Adding equation (i) and (ii),

x + y = 13

x - y = 7

--------------------

=> 2x = 20

=> x = 20/2

=> x = 10

Putting x = 10 in equation (i),

⠀x + y = 13

=> 10 + y = 13

=> y = 13 - 10

=> y = 3

So, the required numbers are 10 and 3.
