Solution :

Let one number be x and other be y

ATQ to two conditions

x+y=24

x=24-y. (1)

x-y= 14

(24-y)-y=14. (from equation 1)

-24y+ y=14

-23y= 14

y= -14/23

x=24 -y. ( from equation 1)

x= 24 -(-14/23)

x= 24+14/23

x= 566/23
