let the other rational number be ' p / q

according to question ,

- 9 / 20 + p / q = - 3 / 5

p / q = - 3 / 5 + 9 / 20

p / q = -(3 / 5 - 9 / 20 )

p / q = - { ( 12 - 9 ) / 20 }

p / q = - ( 3 / 20 )

p / q = - 3 / 20

therefore , required rational number

= - 3 / 20
