the sum of two rational number is -3 upon 5. if one of the number is -9 upon 20 find the other rational number

Let other number be x,

Their sum = -3/5

 - \frac{9}{20} + x = - \frac{3}{5} \\ \\ x = - \frac{3}{5} + \frac{9}{20 } \\ \\ x = \frac{ - 12 + 9}{20} \\ \\ x = - \frac{3}{20}

Other number is -3/20
