Let the number be x

ATQ,

x + \frac{1}{8} = \frac{5}{18}

x = \frac{5}{18} - \frac{1}{8}

x = \frac{(20-9)}{72}

x = \frac{11}{72}

geniushivm: x = (20−9) ....i am n't understand..
BrainlyPrincess: we have multiplies 5/8 and 1/8

✨hey mate! here's your answer!✨

since, one of the number = 1/8

so, let the other number be 'x'.

then, according to the question,

 \frac{1}{8} + x = \frac{5}{18}

 = >x = \frac{5}{18} - \frac{1}{8}

 = > x = \frac{20 - 9}{72} \: \: \: (taking \: 72 \: as \: lcm)

 = > x = \frac{11}{72}

thus, other number = 11/72.

✌️ hope it is helpful ✌️!
