Let the other number be x ,
________________________

Given that sum of the numbers is -2
______________________

Now,

x + [ \frac{-14}{5} ] = -2

x -  \frac{14}{5}  = -2

Taking LCM,

 \frac{5x - 14}{5} = -2

5x-14 = -2×5

5x - 14 =  -10

5x = -10 + 14

5x =  14-10

5x =4

x=  \frac{4}{5}

Now,

Other number is  \frac{4}{5}

i hope this will help you

The answer is given below :

One number is given as (-14/5).

Let, the other number is x.

Then, the sum of the numbers = -2

=> x - 14/5 = -2

=> x = - 2 + 14/5

=> x = (- 10 + 14)/5

=> x = 4/5

So, the other number is 4/5.
