Now adding...

→ x = 7/14 + 8/14

→ x = 15/14

So, the value of x is 15/14

Proof :-

The question says x + (-8/14) = 1/2

So, check it by putting the value of x

→ 15/14 -8/14 = 1/2

→ 7/14 = 1/2

→ 1/2 = 1/2
