some points for the above picture :-

they said two integers one is -11/5 the other one we don't know let us consider it as "x" variable .

now let us send the -11/5 to RHS (right hand side ) i.e. to the side of -4

then it becomes 11/5 and the minus sign disappears

then add -4 and 11/5 and you get the answer as

x=-9/5
