GIVEN :-

  • The sum of two rational number is -5.
  • One number = -13/6.

TO FIND :-

  • The other number.

SOLUTION :-

Let the other no. be x.

A.T.Q

⇒ -13/6 + x = -5

⇒ x = -5/1 + 13/6

⇒ x = -30/6 + 13/6

x = -17/6

Hence the other rational number is -17/6

VERIFICATION :-

⇒ -13/6 + x = -5

⇒ -13/6 + -17/6 = -5

⇒ -30/6 = -5

⇒ -5 = -5

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello dear

Let the other number be X

A/q

50/3 + X = - 13/7

=> X = - 13/7 - 50/3

=>X = (- 91 - 350)/21

=>X = - 441/21 = - 21

Hence,

Other rational number =- 21

now lets verify

→ -13/6 + -17/6 = -5

→ -30/6 = -5

→ -5 = -5

L.H.S = R.H.S
