Let the missing number be X
from the question we get
-11/5 + X = -5
LCM of 5 and 1 is 5
-11/5 + 5X/5 = -5
1/5(-11+5X)= -5(Taking 1/5 common)
-11+5X= (-5)(5)(Tranposing ¹/5 to RHS)
-11+5X= -25
5x= -25+11
5x= -14
X= -14/5
So you must add -14/5 with -11/5 to get -5
