the sum of two rational numbers is

if one them is
 \frac{ - 11}{20}
Find the other ?

let the other no. be x.

x + ( \frac{ - 11}{20} ) = ( \frac{ - 4}{5} )

x = ( \frac{ - 4}{5} ) - ( \frac{ - 11}{20} )

x =  \frac{( - 16) - ( - 11)}{20}

x =  \frac{ - 16 + 11}{20}

x =  \frac{ - 5}{20} \:  or \:  \frac{  - 1}{4}
