let the unknown number be 'x'    so:

5/6+x=13/8

x=13/8-5/6

*LCM = 24*

x=19/24   (39-20)

CHECK

5/6+19/24

20+19/24

39/24   when reduced it becomes- 13/8

hope it helps

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Sum given= \frac{13}{8} \\

one no. = \frac{5}{6}

let the ther no. be x

A.T.Q.,

\frac{5}{6} + x = \frac{13}{8} \\

x = \frac{13}{8} \\ - \frac{5}{6}

x=\frac{39-20}{24}

⇒ x = \frac{19}{24}

Hence, the other no. is \frac{19}{24}

hope it helped.
