sum of zeroes=-b/a

product =c/a

.•.-b/a=c/a

Let the 2 zeroes of the polynomial x^2+2x+3k be alpha and beta.

>a=1,b=2,c=3k

Sum of the zeroes = alpha+beta

= -b/a = -2

Product of the zeroes=alpha*beta

=c/a = 3k

Given, alpha + beta= alpha*beta

=. -2=3k

==> K= -2/3
