Given, X + Y = 37 => X= 37-Y ------ Eq 1

(X-5)=2(Y-5)

X-5=2Y-10

X-2Y+5=0 ----- Eq 2

Substituting Eq 1 in Eq 2,

37-Y -2Y +5=0

37-3Y+5=0

3Y=42

Y=14

Substituting Y=14 in Eq 1,

X=37-14=23

The present age of Raj is 23 years and present age of Ben is 14 years.
