● The object of the verb changes into simple past participle. The form of the verb "be"(am , is , are, was , were ,being , been ) is put before the main verb according to the tense of the main verb and the number (singular and plural) and the person (first , second and third) of the new subject , e.g , "was broken" in the example sentence above.
● The object of the verb in the active Voice becomes the subject of the verb in the passive voice.
● The preposition 'by' is placed after the main verb of the passive sentence followed by the subject of the active voice which now becomes the object of the preposition.
