The sun rises in the east and the time is ahead by four minutes within every longitude.while going from east to west the kuchch in gujarat is present at 37°6'N and the arunachal pradesh is present at 68°25'E.As there are 30 longitude between gujarat and arunachal pradesh (30×4min)=2hours. Hence the time of 2 hours is there. To avoid this standard time of india has been calculated( i.e 82°20'E)
