There is a time difference between two extreme ends in India. Arunachal Pradesh is 2 hours away from Jaisalmer, i.e there are 30 longitudinal divisions between both, and each has a gap of four minutes in between. Thus this 120-minutes gap creates a difference in our watches but there is no difference because time is taken the same for all places in India due to the IST(Indian Standard Time).

The longitudinal gap between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat is about 30°. Due to this, there is time lag of about two hours between these states. Since Arunachal Pradesh is in the east hence the sun rises earlier here compared to in Gujarat. The Indian Standard Time is taken from the time of Standard Meridian of India and hence, the watches show the same time in both the states.
