the syrup that you take for cough?? why do we shake them before consuming and it is a suspension or emulsion?

its a suspension (its written on the bottle). we shake it because some of the ingredients settle down hence to get a uniform mixture for it take we shake it.

We shake the syrup before we take it because the particles of the syrup settle down at the bottom of the syrup bottle because its a suspension.and when we shake that syrup bottle the particles which are settled at the bottom will be mixed or uniformly distributed.so we shake that syrup bottle before we consume it.
