Given : The table shows population data for a community.

To find : percent of change from 2007 to 2013 .   predict the population in 2019.

Solution:

Year       Population

2007  -   118000

20013 -   138000

Population increased = 138000 - 118000

= 20000

% increase in population = ( 20000/118000) * 100

= 16.95 %

percent of change from 2007 to 2013  is 16.95 %

Population increase in next 6 year = (16.95/100) 138000

= 23391

The predicted population in 2019 is  138000 + 23391

= 161391

The predicted population in 2019 is   161391
