the taxi charges ina city comprise of a fixed charge together with the charge for the distance covered. for a journey of 10km the charge paod is ₹75 and for a jrny of 15km the charge paid is 110. what will a person have to pay for travelling a distance of 25km.​

Subtracting equation [2] from equation [1], we get

⟹ y = 7

Putting y = 7 in equation [1], we get x = 5

∴Total charges for travelling a distance of 25 km = x + 25y

= (5 + 25 × 7)

= (5 + 175)

= Rs. 180
