the required linear equation will be given by
y=10+(x-1)4
so, fare for 50km will be
y(50)=10+49×4=rs 206.

as total fare is y....distance covered is x. so total fare will be given by total distance ×fair per km. But as for the first km .,it is 10rs ,so total fare (y)will be given by fare for the first km(10) + fare for the rest(x-1st km)
