Distance travelled by train= Y
then distance travelled by taxi= 450-Y
Equation be-
(450-Y) x 15 + Y x 21= 8325
6750-15Y + 21Y = 8325
6Y= 8325-6750
6Y= 1575
Y= 1575/6
Y= 262.5 km
Distance travelled by train = 262.5 km. Ans

Define x:

Let the distance traveled by train be x

The distance traveled by taxi is  (450 - x)

Find the train fare:

Train fare = Rs 21x

Find the taxi fare:

Taxi fare = Rs 15(450 - x)

Solve x:

Given that the total fare is 8325

21x + 15(450 - x) = 8325

21x + 6750 -15x = 8325

6x + 6750 = 8325

6x = 8325 - 6750

6x = 1575

x = 262.5 km

Answer: The distance traveled in the train is 262.5 km
